Review: Size 14 Is Not Fat Either

Size 14 Is Not Fat Either
Size 14 Is Not Fat Either by Meg Cabot

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sometimes a girl just wants to have fun. And that’s what Size 14 is Not Fat Either is. Fun. I even laughed out loud a few times at Heather’s antics. Heather Wells is a relatable, very human character with a sharp, cynical sense of humor. But she’s also wise. Especially by the end of the novel when she tells her father about the family she’s built with her friends and co-workers. And in the end, it is that family that helps her out of yet another life-threatening scrape.
I read the first book of the series a few years ago and, while I enjoyed it, was not overwhelmed with Heather or the story. This second book is better and funnier than the first. And I’m hoping the series gets better as it goes. I cannot wait to read Big Boned, the third book of the series.
